HTC One M8 Max To Feature Larger Screen?
Speculation about a bigger, more powerful version of the HTC One M8 has been doing the rounds for a while now. What is not completely clear is the name which the Taiwanese phone maker will settle on.
The One M8’s bigger cousin has been christened HTC One M8 Prime and HTC One M8 Max. Newly leaked documentation of this phone has suggested it might be called the HTC M8 Life.
This same documentation, obtained from a Chinese site, My Drivers, has also given us plenty to go on in terms of the specs the new smartphone will boast.
The new phone is being touted to fit into the phablet category and with its speculated 5.5-inch screen, it’s easy to see why.
The display will come with a 2K resolution, making for a super-clear interface and vibrant colours.
HTC have made sure that the new One M8 retains the same premium feel that endeared its predecessor to users by giving it a casing made of a reinforced mixture of aluminium and ceramics. Users of this new device will not only be impressed by how it looks on the outside, they’ll be amazed at how well it performs, that is if the details on the leaked specs sheet can be believed.
Beneath the hood the HTC One Life/Max/Prime will have a Snapdragon processor running at a not-insignificant 2.7 GHz. Helping it chomp through data and media will be 3 GB of RAM.
Users will interact with their apps through the latest version of HTC’s very own Sense 6.5 interface. Shutterbugs will be curious about the 18 MP sensor that the rear camera will come with, wondering about the improvements it will bring to their photography.
On top of the enhanced megapixel figure, the new HTC One’s camera will come with optical image stabilisation.
The HTC One M8 Max is not the only gadget expected to be unveiled at an event scheduled for this week. Among the other phones expected to be launched are the HTC One M8 Eye.
This, another tweaked version of HTC’s latest flagship, has got people talking about its purported 13 MP duo camera.
It is expected to come with a juicy spec list as well. Also to be launched at the event is a camera HTC is touting as a waterproof action camera dubbed the RECamera. Sounds like somebody is crazy about mobile photography.
